New Delhi: The UK deputy Prime Minister Mr. Clegg who has been conducting an official visit to India said that he was delighted to be the leader of the first trade delegation since the election of the new government.
Every year, there is already a trade of £16 billion between India and the UK.
India prefers to invest more in the UK than it does in the rest of the European Union Nations. On the other hand no country in the G20 invests more in India than Britain does.
In addition, there are some historic cultural links among the two nations.
Thousands of students take part in exchange programs such as the UK-India education and research initiative.
Energy Secretary Ed Davey meanwhile has proposed a travel separately to Hyderabad to build links over energy and climate change.
The UK Deputy Prime Minister followed the footsteps of David Cameron by wearing traditional Indian dress during his visit to a Sikh temple in the city.
