Dunsfold (Surrey): A colossal statue of Top Gear’s ‘the Stig’ is being proposed to take an European journey in connection with the launch of a new global TV channel called BBC Brit.
The creative agency, Taylor Herring and BBC Worldwide Global Brands team, who designed the campaign have been planned to drag the sculptured fiberglass Stig by flatbed truck from the program’s HQ at Dunsfold in Surrey, to Amsterdam, Berlin and finally to Warsaw, where it has to be erected.
The duration taken to design and build the nine meter tall spectacular statue was nine months.
Authorities have also planned to stop the statue for photo-shoots during its three day journey through Europe.
Amanda Hill, the chief brands officer for BBC Worldwide, said that the BBC Brit would be the new home for Top Gear in Poland hence it would be better to take the giant stig to Poland.
On the way, fans can be able to spot the statue on the roads of England, Holland and Germany.
BBC Brit is being decided to launch in Poland on 1st of February.
