Rameshwaram: Nine Indian fishermen were arrested by the Sri Lankan navy for allegedly crossing the International maritime boundary line near the coast of Sri Lanka.
As per the fisheries department sources, the accused were later taken to Talaimanar Navy camp.
The fishermen were put out to sea during night in two boats.
A day before, 15 fishermen were also arrested by the Sri Lankan navy on the same charges by capturing their three boats. The arrest comes just days after the arrest of 32 Indian fishermen by the Sri Lanka Navy off Delf Island.
