San Pedro Huamelula(Mexico): The mayor of San Pedro Huamelula in south Mexico, Joel Vasquez Rojas is said to have married to a crocodile.
The reptile bride who was dressed in a white gown, shared a dance in front of the packed party of local residents gathered at the city hall.
As per the tradition of the local people in South Mexico, the crocodile is a princess while its marriage with the town mayor will help the fisherman on the Pacific coast to have abundant seafood to meet their life.
According to local residents this marriage ceremony is a great treasure left to them by their ancestors.
As a safety precaution, the crocodile’s jaws were shut by wires in view of this particular occasion.
Mr Vasquez Rojas said after the function that it was his desire to marry the young crocodile princess.
Local council members are said to have funded for the event and issued a fine for those who didn’t contribute for the occasion.
During the festivities, there were also dancing and breathtaking fireworks.
