New Delhi: Supreme Court of India has rejected the petition filed by the central government and NAS foundation regarding the new rule which categorizes homosexuality as an offense.
The review petition has been rejected by the group of justices comprising of Justice H.L. Dathu and S.J. Mukhopadhaya.
The lawyer of the NAS foundation has said that he will be submitting another petition over the new declaration of the court.
Earlier the Supreme Court had confirmed the content of the section 377 which insists life term imprisonment for the homosexuals.
This was really a blow to individuals who support homosexuality in humans.
