Heavy rain may disrupt Notting Hill Carnival


London: Thousands of people are said to have arrived in west London for the second day of the Notting Hill carnival in-spite of the strict warning against heavy rain.
Every year the streets of West London come alive for celebrating the auspicious occasion.
The annual celebration of the biggest street party, is expected to be blemished by poor weather during its finale.
The Metropolitan Police is in a set-out to deploy 7,000 officers for the event.
The streets will be crowded with those who are eager to watch the parade.
In the meantime they can also enjoy the Caribbean food on offer and enter into the spirit of the carnival.
Previous day, thousands of dancers and musicians were paraded through the streets alongside floats.
London’s past and present cultural features are represented in the parade.
Notting Hill carnival is considered as the biggest street festival in Europe.
