Beijing: China has announced a 12.2% increase in its defense budget thus taking the military expenses for the year 2014 to 132 billion USD whereas the defense budget of India being only 36 billion USD.
In 2013, China had spent 720.197 billion yuan on national defense budget (about USD 117.7 billion), a 10.7% increase from 2012 defense budget.
From India’s point of view China’s defense spending is far higher than their last year’s defense expense.
This increased defense budget is apart from the sophistication of Chinese armed forces.
The mammoth military spending announced by China has long been created great concern among the western countries. A Chinese military source said that the peace can be brought out only by strength.
