Beijing: The ministry of education in China is drafting a parameter regarding the enrolment of international students in Chinese schools. The new view point is to unify admission procedures and enhance the quality of education in the country.
The draft has been decided to open to public for opinions until Feb 3. The draft specifies that the schools must not enroll foreign students who don’t meet admission criterions such as uncompleted insurance procedures, who have not reached the prescribed age limit, students staying in China without the company of their parents and absence of delegated documents.
According to the draft, the educational institutions which come under the category of higher education are required to provide featured lessons either in English or other foreign languages if only their resources permit.
As per the draft content, the student who receives higher education in any foreign language is allowed to write the degree thesis in that specific language. But universities or colleges have the option to decide whether a student can perform thesis papers in that particular language or not.
The draft also instructs minors to live with their parents or guardians. While schools offer accommodation to these students, they are required to provide related information at local police departments.
