India to purchase airplanes from US


New Delhi: While the controversies regarding the arrest of Devyani Khobragade are getting hot, the Government of India has decided to purchase six sophisticated air planes from US. This was decided by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who led a discussion regarding the security of India with the ministry.

As per the new $4000 Crore pacts, the Indian military forces can enjoy the benefits of C-130-J Super Hercules airplanes which can be used to carry vast luggage as well as commandos to hilly fronts such as Ladakh. Indian air force has already got six such airplanes earlier.

The airplanes which can be purchased as per the fresh pact will be handed over to the mountain core of Indian Army based at West Bengal. These airplanes have special features to view the ground underneath even in utter darkness. These planes are highly helpful to the military during adverse circumstances.
