Imprisonment for those who give false details


The election commission of India has recommended giving imprisonment up to one year, for those who intentionally give false details for the voters list. This suggestion of the election commission was together with the proposals put-forth by them to rectify the anomalies found in the voters list. According to the election commission nobody’s name should be removed from the voters list, unless a written consent from the respective person is received.

Certain times, voter’s names are found in the lists of two or more booths. This is a severe headache to the election commission nowadays. Other main problem facing by the election is the removal of names from the voters list. So, the main suggestions designed by the election commission are to solve these problems.
