Washington: US Secretary of State John Kerry has decided to meet foreign ministers from around the world in Paris to discuss ways to defeat the merciless Islamic State (IS) militants activating in Iraq and Syria.
French President Francois Hollande pointed out that the beheading of a British aid worker has been forced the world to act against IS militants.
About 40 countries in the world including 10 Arab states, have signed up a coalition agreement to help fight against IS in Iraq and Syria.
US officials said that several Arab countries have expressed willingness to take part in air strikes on IS fighters in Iraq.
According to Mr Kerry, he has extremely encouraged by the flow of promises of military assistance to tackle the militant group.
He was speaking after his whirlwind tour to the Middle East nations for securing support for a plan of action unveiled by US President Barack Obama.
