ISIS battles with Al Qaeda for global jihadis


Washington: It is said that al Queda leader Al-Zawahiri and the core of al Qaeda are locked up in a battle with ISIS for the leadership of the global jihadist movement on the basis of very different visions and strategies.
ISIS was expelled from al Qaeda as they rejected al-Zawahiri’s demand and forced to restrict its activities to Iraq.
Prominent jihadi preachers like Abu Muhammad al Maqdisi and Abu Qatada have blamed ISIS for its deviation.
The unique movement of ISIS has captured the imagination of new generation jihadists working from Arab and European states.

Its chilling brutality toward non-Muslims as well as Muslims, its stiff representation of Islam’s echo, al Qaeda in Iraq, whose vicious attacks on Shia Muslims and moderate Sunnis had gained the anger of the late al Qaeda leader, Osama bin Laden.
In short, ISIS’ in Iraq is creating a serious organizational, strategic, and ideological blow to al Qaeda.
This was narrated by analyst Barak Mendelsohn in Foreign Affairs.
However, the leaders of al Qaeda affiliates have expressed their loyalty to al-Zawahiri.
