California: Dog owners in California had brought their pets to a California beach to get them participated in a surfing competition and to see which ones could take the waves most effectively.
The canines were found hopping on moving surfboards on the Pacific Ocean waves in California.
Some owners were even dressed up their pets very attractively.
Surfing is said to be a bonding experience which dogs enjoy very much.
First prize for the large dog was went to Hanzo, the defending champion owned by Eric Felland of Hollywood.
The winner was presented with a $250 (£145) gift card that can be converted for dog treats and toys.
Some owners were trained their dogs ahead of the annual surfing competition.
In the 2014 Petco Surf Dog Competition there were enthusiastic canines of all shapes, sizes and breeds.
