Slovyansk: Ukraine has decided to launch a large-scale anti-terrorist operations to resist attacks by armed pro-Russian forces.
The authorities in Kiev have to use the army to prevent Russian troops from moving in as they did in Crimea. Ukraine President Oleksandr Turchynov said that he has pledged amnesty to anyone who is ready to lay down arms.
The Security Council in the country has made a decision to begin a large-scale anti-terrorist operation by participating the army forces. Ukraine President said that they are not going to allow Russia to repeat the Crimean scenario in Ukraine’s east also.
Ukrainian special forces have exchanged gunfire with a pro-Russia militia in an eastern city recently. In that encounter at least one security officer was killed while five others were wounded. It was the first gun battle occurred in eastern Ukraine, where armed pro-Russia men have seized a number of government buildings in recent days.
Insurgencies have spread to several municipalities in eastern Ukraine, including the major industrial city of Donetsk, where a large Russian-speaking population have been residing.
