New Delhi: Making atrocious comments by Samajwadi Party leaders have become very common nowadays. Maharashtra unit chief Abu Azmi has grabbed the attention of the people by making one such statement. Recently Abu Azmi demanded to hang women having sexual affair with or without consent.
According to him if any married or unmarried woman went along with a man, with or without her consent, should be hanged. Later he said to hang both of them for this fault.
In an interview given to a Mumbai daily Mid Day he said that sex out of marriage should be punished by stoning.
Yadav had received heavy criticism for making comments at a rally in Moradabad, that the death sentence, as punishment, for rape was too harsh.
Azmi has also praised Islam religion’s custom to punish both man and woman who enjoy sex illegally.
In his speech he was defending his party head Mulayam Singh’s words on the capital punishment for rapists.
