Mnama: A man in Saudi Arabia has been sentenced for five five years imprisonment in association with 2,400 whip-beats in public for beating up his mother.
According to Gulf News, the man was physically attacked his mother and broken her front tooth. The incident was taken place when she was travelling with him in a car.
Judge Turki Al Qarni said that the same tooth of the man will also be taken out as he did on his mother as part of the punishment,
The judge has ordered to carry out the whip-beats in 60 parts with 40 beats everyday. For 10 days, the whip-beats will be performed in public near a market.
The man was taken into custody after his injured mother complained to the police at a local checkpoint. It is reported that the accused has admitted the charges laid on him by his mother.
The punishments were ordered by the Judge after the accused was medically examined for his mental state and also to see whether he had taken any drugs.
