The pace is ideal, the tension gradually builds, but at the same time there is no feeling that it is dragging on. A distinctive feature of Presence is its atmosphere. Cinematography and sound design create an exciting mood that makes you nervous. Every creak, shadow and eerie silence heightens the tension, making you feel that something terrible could happen at any moment. Performances are good, although the plot, perhaps, does not open new horizons from the point of view of horrors, it is the performance that distinguishes “Presence”. The film knows how to create a sense of dread without relying on jump scares, instead focusing on psychological tension and the unknown.
