Snowden foresees an unfair trial in US

Washington: Edward Snowden, the former US defense contractor and spy agent who recently brought out the US government’s Email tapping secrets, revealed in an online chat that it is not possible for him to go back to the US under the shade of the current laws and foresees an unfair trial in his motherland.

According to him a return to the US is the best resolution for the government, the public, and himself. But the current circumstances prevailing in his homeland makes it impossible. He said that the existing rules and regulations in US do not guarantee any protection to national security contractors. Moreover, he neither expects any favors from the US nor he can come home and authorize a jury to deal his case.

The 30-year-old former NSA contractor is currently living in Russia under temporary refuge.  Earlier there were suggestions by some U.S. lawmakers that he might have received help from Russia for leaking the US government secrets. But Snowden said that the allegations are baseless and his works were absolutely independent.
