Chautara (Nepal): Once again a powerful earthquake is hit Nepal within a time frame of less than three weeks.
The aftereffect of the recent quake has spread panic in Nepal killing at least 66 people, including 17 in neighboring India and one in Chinese Tibet.
Most of the reported fatalities were in villages and towns east of Kathmandu.
Nepal people were just beginning to pick up themselves from the earlier quake that left more than 8,000 dead.
Meanwhile, the U.S. military Pacific Command said that one of the Marine Corps helicopter involved in disaster relief operations had gone missing.
As per the report there were six U.S. Marines and two Nepalese soldiers inside the helicopter.
The new 7.3 magnitude quake was centered 76 km (47 miles) east of the capital Kathmandu. It is a hilly area close to the border with Tibet.
Followed by the new earthquake there were severe landslides in Himalayan valleys near Mount Everest.
During the quake, the villagers were helplessly watching the collapse of their respective homes.
Fortunately, they could save their lives because they were already living in tents.
Aid workers are reported serious damage to some villages in the worst-affected Charikot area where people are still assumed to have trapped under rubble.
A team of about a dozen volunteers have been searching the rubble for survivors in the area.
