The mountain crest is about 2100 meters above sea level and considered as the highest position among the hill ranges in Wayanad. The glimpses of natural beauty available from Chembra Peak are really outstanding. From this location, it is highly impressive to view the other evergreen mountain ranges of Western Ghats that merging with Blue Mountains in Tamil Nadu. The heart shaped Lake seen on the way to the apex of the mountain is one of the unique attractions on the way to the Chembra Peak. It is believed that the water in the lake will never dry up while the water appears to be in lukewarm. Chembra peak is one of the important trekking sites in Wayanad. Climbing this height is a memorable experience to visitors, even though it is tedious. For making the adventurous move to the peak problem free, forest department will be arranging services of tourist guides to visitors if required. This enchanting elevated site is situated at the southern part of Wayanad near Meppadi.
